My Birthday

My Birthday is this Sunday. I can't wait to see my family when they come over and play with my little cousins. I got one present early and that was my riding boots. I think my mom also got me a new saddle pad for Berry. I'm not sure what kind of cake I'm getting because my mom is going to try one of her new recipes. I can't wait to try it. Then the next weekend I'm celebrating my birthday at my dad's house. I wish my cousins from Kentucky could come. We might go to my aunt's house, so I can see them and ride the horses. I really can't wait to see everybody.

Hosting Thanksgiving Dinner

For my first Thanksgiving as a host, I bought the biggest turkey they had in store. I had it sitting in the Crock pot all day. Every one was on their way here. I pulled the rolls out of the oven and they smelled delicious. My mom helped cook too. When everyone arrived it was time to get the turkey out. My mom cut it into slices and then I took it to the table. When we were all seated we began to pray. Then, all of a sudden, the cat when running under the table followed by the dog. Our dishes raddled and drinks sloshed everywhere. Then the dog jumped on the table and took a big mouth full of turkey. Then he continued to chase the cat and knocked everything else off the table. The dinner was ruined, but my grandpa said we could just go to dinner. And that's why we all ate hamburgers.

A Day Off School

I deserve a day off from school because I get really good grades. I have all A's and one C+, but I know I can bring that up. I'm always a good student. I listen to my teachers and treat other people with respect. I never treat anyone badly, or be rude to them. I always get to class on time. I am library assistant, so not only am I helpful with kids in my grade, but I'm helpful to the seventh graders too. I feel that if I got a day off school I could finish a book for A.R.

Video Game Addiction

Sometimes video games can be addicting, but other times it's just a stress reliever. Playing video games for about 30 minutes and an hour everyday is fine, but when kids are playing them for hours at a time it becomes an addiction. It causes kids to not care about school because they're worried about beating the next level on a video game. Other times kids play video games as a stress reliever. This is great, but your not getting exercise. I think kids should find other stress relievers like walking running or maybe taking a nap. Kids will fight with their parents because they tell them to turn it off. Then the parents end up giving in. Video games are fun and all, but sometimes it's not healthy. Sometimes it's okay, other times it's too much.

If I was President...

If I was president I would lower gas prices. The price of gas is making things hard on everybody. I'd find more jobs for people. There isn't enough jobs for everybody, so it's causing people to lose there homes and children. Then they don't have money to buy food. I'd let the people have more say in things. I would fight for the people of the United States to be able to get these things done.

History Test

Next tuesday I have a history test. We have today, tomorrow, the weekend, and Monday to finish the study guide. Mr. Krysl said the test is multiple choice and true and false. Also, if we did good on our translation of the Declaration of Independence, we get to write it with feathers and ink. I have a good feeling that I will do good on my test. Mr. Krysl teaches well and makes everything simple, so I understand everything better. The study guide is kind of long, so I'll probably have to finish it over the weekend. It shouldn't take too long. I got a 100% on my last history quiz, so I think I'll do good on this one too.

Youth Hunt

This weekend I'm going on the youth hunt with my dad. I hope I get one of the monster bucks down on my uncles farm. One is and eight pointer and the other is either a 10 or 14 pointer. I saw pictures from my uncles tree camera and they are huge. Their body's are big and their necks' are like the size of a horse's neck. I really want to make my dad proud and get a deer this year; hopefully one of the bucks. I almost had a doe last year, but the bullet just barely touched her neck. My dad said he would put my first dear head on a mantle even if it's a doe.
