A Letter From Prison

I'm not sure what to thimk after receiving this letter. I want to help a friend, but will I get in trouble? I think I should help. I'll write a letter back letting him know I will get what he needs. But what if I can't get what he needs? What if I let him down? Well I guess we'll see what happens, but I don't want to get sent to jail, too. I've got to try for a friend. I'm always there for a friend. Then, I began to write my letter.

Gendercide in India

The first video is about not havimg very many women in India. They say girls are expensive, so nobody wants to have daughters. Boys are the ones who will have jobs and make the money, so women will get illegal ultra sounds to determine the gender. If it ends up being a girl they will usually get an abortion or killl the baby after it is born. One woman said her mother-in-law tried to make her get and illegal ultra sond, but she refused. Then her husband and mother-in-law gave her a cake with egg in it knowing she's allergic and rushed her to the hospital. They talked the docter into doing an ultra sound and they found out she was carring twin girls. then she refused to get an abortion, so they beat her and she left and gave birth to her twins at her mothers home. Now there is a shortage of women, so the men traffic in women and force them to marry village men. They all want brides, but yet they dont want daughters.
The doctors that were illegal doing ultra sounds and aborting girl fetuses were caught and sent to jail. One woman is tryimg to fight back. The six year olds grandma pushed her down the stairs at the age of four months. Her mother-in-law and husand didnt want the twin girls. For speaking out, the woman lost her job and recieved death threats. The prime minster said that what he calls a gender side has become a national shame. They have set up an orphanage called 'Baby Craddle' fpr unwanted girls. They find some of the girls in the garbage half dead. They have a drop box for people to their baby girl in, so the woman (Momma) can get them. No child is turned away.
